What requires Fantasma Pro?
Pro unlocks features that need cloud infrastructure, a connected Ghost site for live data, or licensed theme output. This page is the overview; the builder remains the most precise source because it can mark the exact section, block, or setting you are using.
How you know something is Pro
- Tier badges on sections, blocks, or Theme Settings.
- Disabled settings with an upgrade hint.
- Upgrade prompts when you try uploads, connection, publish, or Download ZIP.
Some Pro content can still be visible in a Free project. It may be read-only, or it may block Download ZIP and Publish until you upgrade or remove the Pro-only parts.
Major Pro capabilities
- Ghost connections — Connect a Ghost site for direct publish and real-data preview.
- Project image uploads — Upload and reuse assets in Fantasma storage. This also requires a signed-in account.
- Custom templates — Add non-default Ghost templates for custom pages, tags, authors, collections, or other advanced theme structure.
- Layouts — Create and manage shared layout wrappers beyond the default structure.
- Navigation dropdowns — Ship the Pro navigation markup and scripts that turn grouped Ghost navigation labels into dropdown menus.
- Dark mode — Use preview color overrides, system color mode, visitor dark-mode controls, and dark-mode logo/icon support together.
- Page transitions — Add a global page transition effect to smooth browser navigation.
- Post featured video — Use Fantasma’s theme toggles for video heroes and cards.
- White label builds — Free ZIP downloads and publishes include Built with Fantasma; Pro removes it automatically (details).
Download and publish interactions
Free accounts may build with Pro content visible, but Download ZIP and Publish can be blocked until the project no longer contains gated pieces. See Why Download ZIP is blocked by Pro content.
After upgrading, download a new ZIP or publish again so Ghost receives a new Pro build.
