Is Fantasma a Ghost theme or a hosted product?

Fantasma is a visual builder in your browser. It produces a standard Ghost theme: a ZIP you upload to your own Ghost site.

Ghost serves that theme after install. Nothing from Fantasma has to run on your Ghost server.

Do I need to write code?

No. Most users never touch Handlebars or CSS.

When you want more control, a downloaded theme is normal Ghost theme code. Open the ZIP in any editor and customize it like any other theme.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free includes the visual builder, Source-style theme downloads, and up to three active cloud projects.

Pro is a yearly subscription. It raises the active project limit to fifty and adds Ghost connection, a media library, and Pro-only theme features.

Can I use Fantasma themes for client work?

Yes. Use downloaded or published themes for your own sites and for sites you build for clients.

You cannot resell or redistribute those themes as standalone products on marketplaces (for example ThemeForest or the Ghost Marketplace).

Can I use one theme on multiple Ghost sites?

Yes. Install the same downloaded or published theme on every Ghost site you need for yourself or for clients you serve.

Fantasma hands you a normal Ghost theme ZIP. Install it on each site your agreements and Fantasma’s license allow.

Does Fantasma work with Ghost(Pro) and self-hosted Ghost?

Yes. Downloaded themes are standard Ghost theme ZIPs, so they install the same way on Ghost(Pro) and self-hosted Ghost.

If Ghost accepts the upload as a valid theme, you are ready to activate it.

Can I edit the theme after I download it?

Yes. The ZIP is standard Ghost and Handlebars code, the same shape as themes you would edit by hand.

Change templates, styles, and partials in any editor. Nothing in the ZIP is locked to Fantasma.

Who owns the themes I create?

You own the themes you create for your own publishing and for client work you deliver.

The license allows broad use for yourself and clients. It does not allow reselling or redistributing those themes as standalone marketplace products.

Where are my projects stored?

When you are not signed in, drafts stay in your browser (localStorage) on that device.

When you sign in, projects can sync to the cloud so you can continue on another device.

Does my site depend on Fantasma after I download or publish?

No. Whether you download a ZIP or publish directly, Ghost receives a normal Ghost theme. After Ghost installs it, it runs like any other theme.

You can stop using Fantasma, keep editing in Ghost or in a code editor, or come back to the builder when you want another release. The live site does not need the app open.
