Why Download ZIP is blocked by Pro content

Sometimes Fantasma blocks Download ZIP or Publish and says the project includes Pro content. That check runs in the builder before any file leaves Fantasma. Ghost is not involved yet.

Free accounts can still see or try some Pro sections, blocks, templates, layouts, and settings. A downloaded ZIP or published theme cannot include those paid-only capabilities unless the account has Pro access, so Fantasma asks you to upgrade or remove them first.

What to do

  1. Read the on-screen message. It often names the section, block, template, layout, or setting that blocks Download ZIP or Publish.
  2. Scan every template and shared layout for Pro tier badges.
  3. Open settings for locked or disabled controls.
  4. Remove or replace the Pro-only parts, or upgrade to Pro and download or publish again.

If you upgrade, reload the builder if your account still appears Free, then retry Download ZIP or Publish. The live Ghost site only changes after you install or activate the new build.

If you cannot find the culprit

Check shared header and footer layouts, duplicated sections, and older projects that may contain Pro-only settings from a previous edit. A Pro block nested inside a section can still count even if the top-level section looks ordinary.
