Download and install your theme in Ghost

After you design in Fantasma, put the theme on your site: Fantasma builds the ZIP; Ghost Admin installs and activates it.

Free projects can download a ZIP when they have no Pro content that blocks theme output. If Download ZIP is blocked, follow the builder message or see Download blocked.

Steps

  1. In Fantasma, download the theme ZIP.
  2. In Ghost: Settings → Design → Change theme.
  3. Upload the ZIP, then Activate it.

Ghost validates the package like any other theme.

When to upload again

Any change to templates, sections, blocks, theme settings, or theme assets needs a new ZIP upload or a fresh publish through a connected Ghost site. Ghost does not sync theme changes automatically.

Content-only changes in Ghost, such as posts, tags on posts, Brand accent, or navigation labels, usually do not need a new ZIP.

routes.yaml

Custom routes and collections often need a separate routes.yaml upload in Labs → Routes — see routes.yaml.

If something looks wrong

  • Upload fails — Download the ZIP again from Fantasma; confirm you picked the latest file.
  • Site looks outdated — Activate the newest upload; hard-refresh if needed.
